AI documentation built
for the NICU.
Cribside generates structured clinical notes from voice, calculates weight-based medication doses, and produces EHR-ready documentation — all in a mobile app that works at the bedside.
Free to start · No IT approval needed · EHR-agnostic
Complete NICU documentation in one tool
Not a generic nursing app with NICU tacked on. Built specifically for neonatal intensive care from the ground up.
AI Voice Documentation
Speak your assessment in plain language. Cribside generates a properly structured clinical note using medical-grade speech recognition and GPT-4o.
All 5 Core Note Types
Patient Assessment · Reassessment After Intervention · Hourly Vital Signs · Medication Administration · SBAR Handoff — all formatted for clinical standards.
Weight-Based Dose Calculator
Calculate doses for 18 common NICU medications using your patient's weight. High-alert meds like morphine, fentanyl, and vancomycin require dual-nurse verification.
Mobile-First, Bedside-Ready
Installable on iPhone or Android as a home screen app. No App Store. Works on any device at the bedside.
Paste Into Any EHR
Cribside is EHR-agnostic. Copy your structured note and paste it into Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or any other system your hospital uses.
PHI-Safe by Design
No patient names, MRNs, or dates of birth are ever stored. Use DOL, gestational age, and weight only. Safe for personal device use without IT approval.
Technical specifications
What's under the hood.
The dose calculator alone is worth it. I was using three different apps and cross-referencing a paper formulary. Now it's one place, and the dual-verify requirement actually makes me feel safer.

Common questions
Is this cleared by the FDA?
Cribside is a documentation productivity tool, not a diagnostic or clinical decision-support device. It does not diagnose, treat, or make clinical recommendations. Always apply your clinical judgment and follow hospital protocols.
Does this replace nursing judgment?
No. Cribside organizes and structures what you already know and observe. The nurse is always the clinician. The app is the secretary.
Can multiple nurses on a unit use it?
Yes — each nurse creates their own individual account. Notes are private to each user's account. There is no shared unit-wide database.
Does it work for non-NICU nursing?
Cribside is specifically optimized for NICU documentation workflows, terminology, and medication sets. It may work for other neonatal or pediatric settings, but is built and tested for NICU.
What happens to my notes after I close the app?
Free plan notes are kept for the current session. Pro plan includes persistent note history so you can review your documentation from previous shifts.
How is this different from just using Siri or a notes app?
Siri transcribes; Cribside structures. The output is a complete, formatted clinical nursing note with proper sections, medical terminology, [VERIFY] flags for uncertain values, and an accuracy confirmation step before it can be copied.
